Yesterday the students took their first Math test in 2nd grade! They did an amazing job! I'm so proud of how well they focused and worked. Their tests will be going home with them today. You will see skills colored in green or yellow. Green means the students understand that concept, yellow means they're still working on it. Please sign their test and return it to school on Monday so I can display their success in the hall! 😃👍⭐️🎉✏️💯
On Wednesday, we had a Math Game Day! Students should be playing Math games at least 60 minutes weekly in order to help them become more fluent and confident in their math skills. They played the Exchange Game. Students rolled two dice and added that amount of pennies. Whenever possible, students would exchange pennies for nickels or dimes. The player with the most dimes wins the game! This game helps students recognize coin equivalencies.
While learning all about 2nd grade, we stopped to take a quick photo! Let's make it a great year together! :-)
